The fire breathing cormorant is a highly rare bird that lives in the Vancouver Island area. It is known for its amazing way of breathing fire and unusual team work hunting technique. The Fire breathing Cormorant typically lurks around lagoons, and when a school of unsuspecting fish swims in to the lagoon, a group of 15 - 30 Fire Breathing Cormorants begin to super heat the water by blasting it with fire. Any fish who try and escape the lagoon are promptly scared back by a small group of the pack who are guarding the exit of the lagoon. Once all the fish are completely boiled, the pack picks up the dead fish off the surface. The fire breathing Cormorant has 2 stomachs, 1 for disgusting the food, and one for creating methane gas, with which it produces fire. A small portion of the bird’s food goes in the second stomach, and is made into gas. Unfortunately, the bird is becoming extremely rare in recent times, and so any information regarding them is highly valuable.
